PKUAA-NC was established at Research Triangle Park (RTP) in 2000 by fourteen initiators of PKU alumni from Duke, UNC, NCSU and CAFA as a non-profit voluntary membership organization and has played an important role in serving our alumni residing in the NC. The goal of the PKUAA-NC is to foster the mutual connection, cooperation and communication among Peking Univeristy alumni in North Carolina and promote cultural and educational exchanges between U.S. and China. The aims of PKUAA-NC are:

To enhance the friendship and communication among our alumni in North Carolina;
To expand the channels for our alumni here to cooperate and to stay in touch with our mother university;
To found an alumni community in which we can help each other in life-quality improvement and business developmen.

There are 11 board members now in the Board of Directors of PKUAA-NC who work with you together to fulfill PKUAA-NC purposes. If you are in North Carolina and graduated or had ever worked or studied at either Peking University or formerly Beijing Medical University, you are qualified for being a member of PKUAA-NC.

Currently, an email list (pku_rtp@yahoogroups.com) for your subscription and a registration website (www.pkuaa-nc.org) have been set up. Please go to the website and register online

北卡罗莱纳州北京大学校友会

北京大学北卡校友会于2000年由14校友发起在RTP市正式成立, 为非营利性社团组织。活动的宗旨是为所有曾经在北大工作、学习及访问过的“北大人” 建构一个互助、互爱的共同家园；通过自身的建设及努力，增强及促进北卡校友之间以及各地校友会之间的相互关心与帮助，发扬“爱国、进步、民主、科学”为核心的“北大精神”，为母校的发展，促进中美之间文化、科技、经贸之间的合作做出贡献. 北京大学北卡校友会目标包括:

1. 增强及促进北卡校友之间联系和友谊

2. 开辟校友间合作途径及保持和母校联系

3. 为校友提供交往和互相交流的机会，为校友个人事业的发展和生活的需求提供帮助。

校友会成立几年来一直是RTP地区较有影响的华侨社团之一。校友会每年常规性地举办活动，活动型式有餐会及和清华校友会合办的每月讲座等。本会接受北京大学校友总会和教育基金会的领导并配合其相关工作。
